Thank you to my friend who shared Ireland’s Shine A Light project, with Sinead O’Connor’s beautiful rendition of Snow Patrol’s Run. May there be hope throughout this devastating time and a mindful renewal on the part of the world governments—particularly in the United States. May all the inhabitants of Earth fully appreciate Her when we return, and behave accordingly. Unending gratitude to everyone on the front lines. You are saints.

Hi Janet,
I’ve been thoroughly enjoying your blog postings, and sorry that I haven’t written sooner. My family and I are all safe here in Massachusetts, but my April 2020 trip to Ireland has been postponed until next April. We’ll just have to wait and see what becomes of that…and everything else for that matter. I received an email from Marion Collins the other day. Do you know here? She works at a bookstore called Paddy’s at The Square just outside Chicago. Well, I just found myself a good literary agent who is eager to pitch my nursing memoir, so we’ll see. I put it away for a spell, so now I’m dusting it off again. Oh, someone sent me the attached below — a poet named Ted Kooser. You might know of him — a poet from Nebraska. Did I tell you that I’ve recorded a few of my Christmas stories. Once I can get back to the studio, I’ll send them to you. Are you still in Clare? Well, time for dinner, and then we’ll watch the news, hoping that things brighten up soon. All for now — best to the growing gossoon–and take care. Your friend, Kevin
Hello Kevin, great to hear from you! Congrats on all your upcoming ways for us to access your excellent storytelling! I was in Clare last May/June, a lovely way to wrap up my teaching career! Am about to post again today or tomorrow. May you and your family stay safe and well, Janet
(No, I don’t know Marion Collins, but any friend of a bookstore is a friend of mine!)
